Spring In Texas
Wild Plum
Just a few months ago I warned you that winter was coming. It never made it here this time. Now with the warm days and cool nights the flowers have been fooled into thinking it really is spring. Perhaps it is. And a very dry spring it is. The woods are full of wild plum and the air smells great. The trees are full of wasps, flies, moths and butterflies all sucking nectar and laying their eggs in the blossoms. Few blossoms will develop into adult fruit this summer. But they are beautiful now.

Thanks for helping me remember that it is spring and time to re-smell the roses. This beautiful season only comes around once every year and we should all get out and enjoy it before the heat of summer is upon us.
Great post Hollis!

I just found your blog and really enjoyed reading the “Red Rooster and Dominicker Hen” story. Are you still hiding out in the chicken coop, not blogging anymore?
